haha hello hello! im here to update you again. haha!

it’s the durian season again! :D rebecca leong’s mum bought us a box of durians as usual (: her parents are really nice people- they always gift us bakuas&oranges&candies etc during CNY, durians during durian season and logcake/fruitcake/turkey ham during christmas!
OH and rebecca leong is 7 this year. time really flies. she is with us ever since she was born into this world! :D from a cute baby to a irritating yet cute toddler followed by a annoying yet still as cute kid and now, a super nice and friendly schoolgirl! she will buy cute erasers from her school’s book shop occasionally and gift me one of them :D how sweet can a kid be!
(though she is highly discouraged from buying such useless things from the school bookshop. but which kid dont spend like that when they are young? :D)

im so used to having her around – i really dont know what will happen if her mum doesnt want to put her under my mum’s care anymore. i guess our sister sister love will just decrease as days go by.. and eventually our relationship will be like all the other neighbours living in the same block as me.. that’s really sad. hopefully it wont happen any time soon!

GSS is ending in 25 days. i have yet to purchase very important stuffs!

2. running shoes

okay i shall go out tml and search for these two. hopefully they are still on sales! :D

sentosa!

okay im waiting for my videos to be uploaded on facebook so here i am, updating you guys about my house outing :D

it was better than i thought! 13 people came for the sentosa outing, 1 left and 3 more came to join us for dinner.
the sky was nice to us! sentosa didnt receive any rain even though most parts of Singaopore experienced a shower! dark clouds came and went, came and went, and we were really thankful for that. Mingjie said that was all because he did a rain dance the day before. oh well…

MJ and i went vivo earlier than the scheduled time to check out the weather! :D it’s a sunny day with a blue bright sky :D woohoo! went giant to get some drinks and chips for our games (and also for the welfare of our people la…) and off we went, to SILOSO BEACHHHHH!
we played frisbee, volleyball (which is a failure because 3/4 of us dont know how to play..) and captain’s ball!
MJ team did better than my team in frisbee and volleyball of cos, and do note that HJ team was known to be a GG team with a vase. but we trashed them in captain’s ball! :D

here’s the stats for my blog..

so are you the one person who clicked on my blog every single day (except 20june)?

okay.. i’m really bored now. there is nothing much to do online you know.. (which is impossible because everyone knows that the internet does  wonders..) but okay, i dont know.

and WOW my last post is dated MARCH 2010. which means i have neglected this blog for 3 months already! poor thing.. but well, i have always been doing this to my blogssssssssssssssssssssszzxxzxzzz! haha okay la, now that i have nothing better to do online, i shall update this space at least once a week :D look out for new posts, people!

okay obviously many things happened since MARCH. 24 hours per day, 30/31days per month, 3 months.. so 24x30x3= 2160hours worth of happenings. haha let me try and recall what exactly happened in this 2160hrs.

Life Science D&D
okay this is a very funny event. At first this event was for graduating students only, but somehow i dunno what happened, they allowed all life sciences students to sign up. [probably due to low signups (:] after months of advertising, the uptake rates did not increase. so they lowered the ticket price from $60 to $20, and then from $20 to $0. (note:i cant really rmb if the initial price was $40 or $60) YES. FREE OF CHARGE. this is seriously unbelievable.. how can a 6-course dinner at Conrad Centennial Hotel be FREE. gosh. they must be really despo to fill up the seats. they even allowed non-lifesciences students to attend!
But well, turned out that the D&D was just QUITE okay- food was QUITE okay.. performances was QUITE okay.. and the pageant.. well, QUITE okay too. my friends and i were commenting that our money wont be well-spent if we actually paid for this event. so you could imagine how okay our D&D was. photos are up on my facebook, and they were already there 2 months ago. haha oh, and nicole couldnt make it because she drank too much the day before and fell ill on the day itself. HAHA! so in the end glenn sat with us! he’s a funny guy okay, he registered for the event ALONE, so the organising team placed him to be seated with 9 other strangers. haha!

Taiwan trip
Hey hey! i went for a short trip to taiwan with my family and relatives. so there were 9 travellers all together! we only visited parts of taipei because it is impossible to cover any further up or down (from taipei) in 4days. I would say that the trip was quite a rush one- we would go to 3 places of interest every day, so we went to 12places! site seeing, night markets.. shopping centres… we ate alot, but did minimum shopping. my brother, being a male, only planned for a 1.5-2hrs shopping trip per day ): plus i have no shopping buddy with me so i couldnt shop much too. i wasnt allowed to shop alone because they dont think taiwan is a safe place for a female to walk around alone. oh well… i’ll just take this as a warm up trip for me (: and how little did i shop? i brought about NTD7000 to taiwan, and  about NTD5500 back. so i spent only NTD1500 on food, transport, clothes and tickets for the places of interest, if any.

Skating
exciting paragraph! haha i have so many things to say about skating. i dont think it’s anything positive though! HAHAHA I went to the National Runway Cycling and Skating 2010 held at payalebar air base last weekend with the club. But not everyone turned up of course. Haha and you know what, last week was the first time I skated ever since our final papers in April. So I haven’t been skating for 2 going 3 months! No wonder my seniors say I am the slackest skater ever. Hahaha oh by the way, I still cant do a proper T-brake. HAHA! and I think im gg to help them out at the matriculation fair (:  I want to go there and seeseelooklook anyway!

Work
Knowing that I have only june to work, I tried to find a one-month job from the internet but I failed. Then one day my boss from gradebuilder (the tuition centre I worked at last year) called me and asked me to help him out in June. Okay actually he called me in early May and asked me to help him from May till July. But I rejected his offer. I have got my Taiwan trip in May and orientation stuffs in July. So I can only work in June! Plus I didn’t want to work under him again cause he is a ____ boss. (Yupp you know what word to fill in the blank.) Then he started calling me every 2 days trying to convince me to work for him, decreasing the working period from May to July to June to July to June only. Haha I guess he was desperate for a worker then. And since I cant find any job out there, I accepted his offer 1 week before I left for Taiwan.
Working at the parkway branch wasn’t as bad as working at the novena branch. It was damn slack. I could even read newspapers/magazines/go shopping at parkway parade/queue for koi/surf the net/play my itouch while working – because boss is usually not around! His office is at the novena branch (: (: (: so I get paid doing nothing! Just need to do what im supposed to do when something happens, or do something to prevent something from happening. Confused?
okay let me find an example.. I just need to collect fees when students pay, and call students to remind them that they have a class to prevent unwanted complains by their parents when they forget to come for lessons. Oh and of cos I did do some sales and managed to hit my target of getting 40 new head counts! Which means 40 new students in the month of June! How cool is that. But I hate doing sales.. I think it’s just a nicer way of saying pestering students to join the tuition centre. I hate it! But well, I did talk to them nicely and didn’t do hard sales. I am not those profit driven person so I don’t really care if I hit my target or not. But still, I did it! But boss was damn ____ this year- I was only given an extra $200 for my hard work. I received $600 for my 60 headcounts last year at novena okay!
I am so not going to work for him next year, unless he raises my pay.

okay, ive typed this post for over an hrs already.

UPDATES

goodbye my phone ):
im going to sacrifice my N78 for a motorola dext. my younger brother wants the phone badly. okay, maybe im just exaggerating. haha! my phone is currently having mood swings – sometimes working with a ‘muted’ mic and sometimes working perfectly fine. so my parents told me to get rid of it ASAP when it’s still working. sighs, im going to miss my current phone. it’s the best phone i’ve used so far, and with the most unique features i’ve ever seen. (the keyboard is super cool lah) i doubt i’ll be able to find any phones with similiar features.. T.T my brother will be returning my LG viewty after he gets the new phone so i’ll be using viewty after today! (double sighs. i dont like viewty)
oh, since i started the post with gadgets, i shall continue this post with my laptop story. haha! alright, im going to collect my laptop later (probably after i finish typing this post). my laptop is currently in the acer building – i sent it for repair a week ago :D my 6months old laptop is giving me problems alrdy! how irritating.. i guess the ‘circuit’ (or whatever it is called- im not an engineer or a tech savvy person) in the LCD went haywire! the MIGHTY me can create a blackout by pressing on the exterior side of the LCD! hahahaha so cool right! so it’s like.. press > blackout > lift up hand > normal > press > blackout .. .. .. my screen will look like it’s blinking! :D HAHAHA okay i know i shouldnt do that.. but im alrdy sending it for repair! they will fix ANYTHING for me! HAHAHA (actually im hoping that they will give me a new laptop as a replacement for my faulty laptop =x) so yah, im gg to business industrial park later! i foresee the waiting time to be as long as last week’s so im gg to bring my NOTES, my BOOKS, my MP3, my oh no! im gg to change to viewty before i leave the house! okay, yah.. ):
hmmm my mp3 is alright. i kinda like it alot. just that the batt life span is a little… (hmmm) and makes me kinda regret a little for not choosing the travel adapter over the engraving! HAHA but it;s still alright. haha oh and im thinking of buying this app – plants VS zombies. haha! but well, i’ll see how again. (note: i will not jailbreak my mp3 no matter what!)

HELLO. haha i just came out from the magic hat! :D
i disappeared so long that i even forgot my wordpress password! HAHAHA okay here’s an update after many many many weeks! (as requested by muimui – the only follower of my blog. =x)

im waiting for my apple which will be here only on monday! i shd have bought it on wednesday night la! ): i dragged for almost 3 days to make a decision of whether to get it engraved or not. but in the end i went ahead to buy my itouch online and get it engraved. haha okay here’s the pros and cons for engraving it.

pros: it’s personalised! :D so my itouch will one of a kind and i’ll feel better to have sth different from the crowd!
(but many said it’s a dumb decision to get it engraved because an engraved itouch would have a market value of $0. however, the market value is none of my business becos i wont intend to sell my itouch away! and why wont i sell it away – (a) because i think it’s hard to sell an electronics away? (b) even if i sell it away, how much shd i sell it? i will still lose out in the end (c) if i sell it away, which mp3 should i get now? as such, selling my itouch is quite an impossible move.)

Cons: i wont be able to get the complementary silicon casing, screen protector and travel adaptor that come with the itouch if i get one from apple authorised shop. so in other words, the engraving costs $19.90 (the silicon casing) + $9.90 (screen protector from apple for itouch) + $??? (the travel adaptor) = approx $30+. so engraving for more than $30 aint worth it!
however, the complementary silicon casing aint subjected to choice – meaning i cant choose the design, the colour and whatsoever. most probably i will be given a black casing which aint what i wanted! (i wanted to get a red casing for it..) thus, i will still fork out additional money to get a new casing.. as for the travel adaptor, i dont think ill need one since i will be always have at least a desktop or a laptop with me (i hope). even if i dont have one (eg. when im overseas..), i doubt ill use the itouch that frequently when im travelling!
hence, i bought my itouch online..

and i dont know everything will be done in CHINA =/ i tot the engraving will be done in Singapore! ): so i thought ill get my itouch on saturday.. until i tracked my “parcel” and realised it’s still in chinaaaaaaa! sighs.. nevermind, i hope my itouch will be fine – nth’s spoilt during assembly, nth’s spoilt during delivery. haha!

one more month to finals! =/ better revise more diligently. i dint do well for all my mid terms (except for LSM1102 which is considered satisfactory. the others were all way below the average marks!)

oh yes, chinese new year is here, so im going to do sth to my hair as usual! gonna cut it on thurs (which is tml) and get my mum to dye my hair for me. and guess wad, im going to highlight my hair with brown beige dye too! haha. lets pray hard that it will turn out not THAT bad. haha
okay im hungry. going to get some snacks from the canteen :D

walao day.

walao. seriously lor. walao!
woke up at 8am this morning. washed up, ate breakfast and went to wash my one week worth of clothes. haha bleached my white cardigan too! :D in the end the skin on my hands started to peel off cause doing laundry is ROUGH work!
packed my bag and went to school at 10.15am. (i left my house early cos im meeting the buyer for my textbook at 11.50am) happily went off, with the book in my bag, and skates on my hand. was in really good mood becos i dint have to wait for the bus and the train- both arrived right after i reached the bus stop/ mrt station! lucky right! found a seat (which is luckier!) and the journey to cityhall mrt station was great!
the horror came after the train left city hall station. i was so bored on the train that i wanted to look at the textbook which i was supposed to sell at 11.50am. guess what, I BROUGHT THE WRONG BOOK. i brought the study guide instead. how dumb la! i msged the buyer, hoping that she will reply sth like, “it’s okay, ill meet you some other day” but sadly, she replied, “okay ill meet you later today” anyway her reply was really late so i was alrdy on my way back home from tanjong pagar when i read her reply. dumb la, totally. imagine some idiot going back home just for a textbook.
but it’s okay la, i guess. customer is always more important right? actually i think im more suited to be in the service sector la. i like giving customer service! :D HAHAHA!
okay so anyway. i went home, took the correct book and went to school. haha reached school at abt 1pm! :D so i attended half the lecture. haha! at least better than nothing right?

i havent been updating for quite a while ah! HAHAHA but the daily statistics aint showing me a very good response leh. so actually not many ppl visit my blog hor, so i dun really need to update regularly! :p
anyway, i dint manage to get one of the modules i planned to take (LAM1201 Malay 1) so i took SC1101E (making sense in society) or sth liddat. haha hmmm; i’ll say SC1101 is quite chim la. sociology leh, what u expect ):

the first day of school was quite alright. sociology lecture came first, followed by my gem (GEK2001 changing landscape of singapore), then had a 4 hours break before my econs lecture (EC1301 principles of economics) at 6pm. reached home at ard 9.50pm becos we waited 40mins before we can board the super crowded bus95! super terrible! aiya, i dont think i’ll be going for econs lectures anymore since they have webcast lectures :D HOHOHO

wednesday was my second day. i had two core lectures and my first tutorial lesson in a LT. oh do you guys rmb my problematic first day of school last sem? HAHA! my 2nd day for sem 2 was problematic too! HAHHAA! okay, i thought my first lecture for the day was in LT32, so me and pei jun happily alighted at the stop after science fac and walked up. and we were abt 5 mins early okay! we opened the lecture hall’s back door, and saw nobody inside! HAHA! and me, being such naive person, thought we were EARLY for lecture!! HAHAHAHA! until pei jun told me it’s impossible. HAHA i tried to call eunice but she dint pick up my call. so i called nicole. and she told me the venue was LT26! HAHAHA so we went to LT26! and we aint late for lecture okay. (thats becos the lecturer didnt start on time. hahaha) oh and nicole took a cab there btw. haha!
after that i went for skating, and it’s really fun! but i dint manage to skate much cos the attendance was SUPERB. i think the club size grew by twice? or maybe near to thrice. there were hell loads of people, i’m so afraid of hitting/getting hit by somebody! HAHA and my shorts was dropping. thankfully i borrowed a belt from karen who borrowed the belt from wen qi. haha!

thursday, i had my first tuition assignment! primary 5 science and maths. my tutee is really adorable. haha very rebecca-leong. haha after that i went to watch avatar with pei jun and sai. very nice! make me feel like staying in pandora too! ): my fav movie tgr with narnia and twilight!

happy new year everybody! (:

lets start with my new year resolutions! (not gonna be very long cause im rushing to pack my mini-luggage!)
1. i want to work harder! okay you can say street smart is better than a good uni cert, but no doubt a good uni cert is needed before all the street smart stuffs! dont get me wrong, im not looking down on people without a good uni cert, im not even looking down on those not-academically-wise people too! what im trying to say is that, i feel that once somebody has embark on the uni education journey, he/she has to do his/her best to get the best out of it! we are paying damn ex school fees okay, why waste that amount of money if you aint gg to work hard to get a good cert? you get me? HAHA i wouldnt say i slacked my sem 1 away, and neither would i say that i’d work hard enough. so.. hopefully i’ll do better in the next 2 semesters (this is a one-year resolution, so only for 2 sems! HAHA!)
2. i want to be healthier, and of course fitter. haha okay i can imagine this sentence in your head, HUH YOU ARE ALRDY EATING HEALTHILY WHAT! haha! you’re wrong okay! i do eat alot of breads (high in carbohydrates!), biscuits and cookies (FATS FATS FATS. trans fats somemore!), chocolates (you shd know what’s so bad about chocolates) and all the other stuffs la! [oh, and i just ate 2 donuts from j.co yesterday. HAHA!] and guess what, i brought an additional 2kg over to 2010! what the hell man ): so my target is to get back to my initial weight by 2011! and of course, i’ll have to start jogging longer distance which means can jog for a longer period of time, which will then mean higher amount of calories burned! and i need to build more muscles to increase my metabolism (: and of course tone where ever necessary.
3. i want to be a better person! aiya i dont want to elaborate on this! haha i’ll want to make my life meaningful okay! haha i just feel that i’ve spend my past few years in a more or less selfish manner. haha. well, ill probably start out by doing more CIP? [OH YA SAYING OF THAT, anybody wants to join me in the project rice thingy organised by red cross society? details can be found on the ivle events section. join la join la! HAHA! looks fun okay] oh and i’ll be happier when im a better person, so it’s an example of killing 2 birds with 1 stone!

okay ill say this year has been quite a good year for me. [because i cant rmb any bad things that happened this year! HAHAHA] hmmm earlier this year i was working at tricor, then went to gradebuilder to work as a receptionist, then by the time i quitted my job and wanted to catch up with my uni adminstration stuffs, i realised it’s too late cause 1. the application date for foodscience was over, 2. the freshmen orientations either ended a few weeks ago or no any vacancy left for the remaining orientations! poor thing ):
so, early august i started my uni life. making new frens (and i still rmb having this make-a-new-friend campaign or sth with muimui! HAHAHA!) and because my first lecture was earlier than hers, i kinda experimented our to-make-fren plan and messaged her ways for improvement! HAHA! okay, so .. hmm i befriended melissa- a year 2 literature major student, michelle- a year 3 pharmacy student, pei zhi- a year 1 geography student and xue jiao- a year 2 applied chem student! haha but im not close to them la (: and of cos i met the madwoman NICOLE and a normal-girl-with-respect-to-nicole, eunice! HAHA! nicole is really super mad. haha! and she keeps saying im a crazy woman! please lor, im not even on par with her! HAHAHAHA :D
then i joined the skating club, and something really funny happened during the welcome tea. haha okay, i shant not share cause it gonna be a LONG STORY. haha! then i bought my skates, the 2nd heaviest investment ever in my 18years(then). [note: the heaviest one was my laptop!] yah then fell fell fell, went to the A&E and all that blahs la huh. then phobia of puddles and slope and all the whatevers, (though im still scared of both even till today, but at least the fear subsided by a little. haha!) oh then during the skating sessions i knew more people and lalalala~
hmm then came the mid terms, which i did badly for. then came the finals, which i did looks-quite-bad-to-you-but-not-that-bad-to-me. haha! well, just got to mug harder for my remaining 5 sems! :D
and okay; now it’s time to bid for sem2′s modules. im taking EC1301 (principles of economics), GEK2001 (changing landscape)/ SSA2204 (nation-building of singapore) depending on their bid points, and LAM1201 (Malay 1). im not sure if i’ve made the correct decision to take malay next sem, but i think it will be a much easier language module compared to the other languages. at least my mum can coach me =/

updates updates!

okay hello!
stayover at sai’s house on 23rd was great! we played wii for a few hrs, then ate curry with bread and rice for dinner – then played bridge – then showered – then bridged again (till 4.30am!) – then went to sleep till 9.30am, then ate our cheese sausages for breakfast – then pack our stuffs – then went home with sai! – then showered – then sega(-ed) – then went out with sai to meet 301 for our xmas gathering!
hahaha highly summarised event! :D
ohoh and rebeccca leong’s dad bought us food for christmas (as usual) but this year he got us something different! he’ll usually gift us either a log cake or a huge roll of turkey ham, but this year he bought us a fruit cake! which is quite random cause none of us in the house likes fruit cake! =/ but still, it’s a cake so it’s edible =x but i am solely contributing to the decrease in the amount of fruit cake left in the fridge, which means i might just put on weight again! and im getting sick of the fruit cake taste alrdy!

anyway, i had this gift exchange thing among my clique and with mz so i received two gifts and gave two gifts! hahaha!
okay one more gift still at home, to be given out next week! :D

anyway my results are better than i thought, but still. CUI. haha! at least dun need to S/U anything! cause i got only 2 different grades! HAHA! 3 and 2 of my 5 modules have the same grades. haha! okay, do ask me if you wanna know how i did. haha! ill tell u willingly! HAHAHA

Hi im back! LOL again. haha
anyway, HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOLVIN! again!

i bought a watch yesterday! :D from fossil! it’s super nice okay! love at first sight. haha it’s something like this just that the strap is in black! :D cool right! HAHA was considering between the black and the brown one. i think the brown one is nicer cause the metal part is matte surfaced so it looks really great with brown strap. but in the end i chose black over brown because the black one can fit both formal and casual occasions! :D anyway i bought the watch at fossil boutique located at 313@somerset, hence no discount was given! $155 gone ):

oh before that, we were at beach road booking our genting trip! the promotion price was $88 per pax with transport and accomodation. but we upgraded our SIN-GENTING coach to royal VIP (more spacious, with a mini moniter infront of each seat) because the normal 25-seater coach (super VIP) is full ): we had to pay $10 more each so our transport and accomodation sum up to $98 per pax! ill be away on 3rd, 4th, 5th of january 2010!

YAY okay, time to bake brownie for my brother. HAHA

haha, you know what does GYSB stand for? :D haha Get Your Sexy Back! haha! which i have no idea what it means. haha the event was at velvet underground. it’s my first time to zouk! YAY! anyway, i feel that this event was really weird. The tagline of GYSB: “It’s not the drinking, it’s how you are drinking.” so they are promoting responsible drinking, thats why the event is at zouk! but you know what, almost 80% of the people (including us-me, penguin, sai) dint drink! haha and nobody partied in the room. haha so it’s like, we went to a club but we didnt club! im going to copy and paste directly from penguin’s blog so..

meet the two of them at pan hse bus stop to take bus 5. reached velvet underground at 715pm.. den waited to get in. get ur sexy back concert. the most popular performin artiste for the night is JJ Lin Jun Jie! =DD nice voice nice songs!~
we r entitled to one drink. get ur sexy back is to promote for responsible drinkin. means. don overdrink la. me n sai drank fruit punch pan drank apple juice lol. when i go to the counter the bartender was like. *show me a bottle of tiger beer* i shook my head. den he *continue showin me the bottle of tiger beer wantin me to take that* i shake my head again lol. and again. den. i ask. what drink is available. he told me all the juices available. den i turn back to ask pan. wad drink she wan. den turn back again. the bartender show me the beer again LOL!! so i shake my head again. and told him wad i wan. so funny la.

time really flies man. it’s mid december already! i dun like! havent play enough yet, and havent lose enough weight to reach my ideal weight! in fact i gained approximately one kilogram. sighs.. why is it so easy to gain weight yet so hard to lose them. this is super unfair lahhhh. *U.N.F.A.I.R*
hmm anyway, holidays aint that good so far!

1. Class outing on 12th december!
omg, i planned this screwed outing ): but still.. it aint as bad as i expected! haha! okay, here;s the whole story okay! gonna be a long one! open your eyes wider! haha
my class wanted a class outing so since my exams ended really early i thought of helping out in the planning! (but who knows it became a one-man-show. sighs.) okay so right, initially i wanted to cater food and have the gathering in a multi purpose room. but it was too late so we dint manage to get the room! we got the BBQ pit instead. so i intended to set up our food stuffs at the bbq pit area (: then great, just when i thought i’ve settled everything, hui fen (my that classmate who’s living in the condo) told me that the condo implemented some new management rules and regulations saying that one unit can only book one facility at a given time! so we couldnt get the KTV room and the bowling alley! which is really WTH, i chose her condo for that 2 facilities la! but she said she’ll try to get her neighbours to help book the other 2 facilities! but somehow the plan dint succeed, so i asked her to get the ktv room instead of the bbq pit. so poor her, had to go down to the management again to strike her name off from the bbq booking list and write her name down for the ktv room. and she even booked the bowling alley! which i though was quite a smart move (: haha! so, YAY, so everything’s settled alrdy! then… some of my classmates commented that they dint like the idea of having our gathering in the ktv room cos we will be quite scattered so it aint really a gathering! =/ which i thought so too.. after all the twists and turns we’re back to the KTV room. then okay, finally settled alrdy right! but GREAT, something cropped up again! on the gathering day itself, hui fen realised we have to provide our own CD! which is like WTH. then okay, nevermind! my another classmate, ian, said he’ll bring a movie DVD over so that we can watch it in the room. okay great, settled!
then!, so SUAY, ian last min got activated for guard duties. WTH man! fortunately i reached hui fen’s home early so i went to her house to get some DVDs. haha so my classmates watched the movie, CONNECTED in the end! :D we went to simpang bedok after we got chased out from the condo at 10pm. nobody wanted to eat so i dont know why we went there too. in the end we went over to the nearby playground to chitchat. i cabbed back home with haoyan, darren and gerald. haha! reached home at 1.30+am!

STEAMBOAT!

YAY we had a steamboat party yesterday at my house!
kinda celebrated mui’s birthday though it wasnt very successful. haha

went to collect my online shopping clothes at 12pm yesterday. supposedly meeting penguin at 12.30pm but that lazy bum was still sleeping then. i tried to message and call her phone, only to realise that she had off her phone! i was kinda irritated so started mass smsing people to get her house number. in the end i got it from mui. and note: not many people know her house number so it’s quite a miracle that mui has it.
i went to the lib to kill time and she took really long to come okay! HAHA! so i just sat at the children section reading the picture books. :D so she finally arrived and i accompanied her to get her nailpolishes.

sai came to join us at 3.30pm to get the ingredients for the night. mel came slightly later. so we went home after getting the ingredients (okay more like i went home and they came over to my house. haha) ALRIGHTS. then i prepared the stuffs, cut cut cut blahblahblah. nicholas mui and sai helped out! :D haha
and we kinda cut too much vege. HAHA! (oh actually my mum told me to take only half! HAHAHA i totally forgot!) oh and i realised we bought really loads of balls-cuttlefish, lobster, beef, pork with mushroom, pork, fish and one-more-which-i-forgot. and too much fish and too much chicken and my mum bought too much pork for us. haha! and too much prawns (i told her the others don;t wanna eat prawns but she said it’s a must to have prawns during steamboat. =/ so in the end my mum bought abt 15 prawns and we only ate 3)

okay, and this steamboat was such a failure. haha! we planned to start eating at 6pm, but somehow i only managed to prepare everything by 6.30pm. then we sat there waiting for the soup to boil. but it didnt, even after 30mins. then we realised we placed 2 metal tray instead of one. so obviously it wont boil la! the we took out the 2nd tray. but the soup still not boiling! and you know why? i dint put the tray properly. so the tray didnt even touch the heater. WTH RIGHT! in the end we ate at 7.30pm. super WTH. haha

birthday this year was better than i thought! :D even with the muscle aches!

i had a simple birthday celebration with my family and mingzhi last night. mingzhi bought and brought the cake for me from my fav cake shop - rive gauche. you should know that’s my fav cake shop if you’ve been following my blog. haha! he bought their best seller – Guanaja , a super nice chocolate cake with cripsy biscuits at the base! superb. i was super full after eating the slice of cake. I’ve got the biggest slice of course. Haha!

Birthday messages started flooding my phone inbox at 12am. Im super happy that people rmbed my birthday and took effort to camp at the clock/watch/or-whatever-that-shows-the-current-time and pressed ‘send’ once it strike 12am. Really really appreciate the effort! :D :D :D and my cousins actually conference-d me in skype to wish me happy birthday. haha two of them are in Taiwan now, one in Malaysia. So nice of them right! (though i suspect they just randomly called me and just happened that one of them remembered my birthday and so everyone started HAPPY BIRTHDAY! me =x)

Birthday celebration on 29th was the best Went out with Mingzhi to Orchard Road in the afternoon for some window shopping and Holland village in the evening for our dinner. Dinner was at Friends @ Jelita. Sounds not that appealing right? But i had a pleasant time there. the food were really great, the ambience was great too!
Friends @ Jelita is a french restaurant if im not wrong. we ordered their set dinner, which is a 3 Course set @ $69.90 per person. fortunately, they are having a 1 for 1 offer with Amex, Citibank, UOB, OCBC, … etc! so mingzhi paid $82+ for the superb meal!
we had their Chef’s appetizer (which is a salad with dried mango and jackfruit) and their famous Mushroom soup with white truffle essence for starters. both tasted really good! especially their mushroom soup- it was flooded with lots of mushroom bits! we chose to have this seabass fillet and tigerprawn spaghetti for our main course. (i cant rmb the actual name for the dishes and their online menu aint updated. haha!) the sea bass tasted like those in chinese cuisine. just that it came with roasted potatoes and cherry tomatoes! my spaghetti was really good. it’s really hard to pen down the taste! but it’s really really good! :D desserts were Raspberry crème brulee and Warm Valrhona chocolate cake. the creme brulee tasted really sweet, but it’s addictive. you wouldnt want to stop eating it until you try the chocolate cake =x the chocolate cake was superbbbbbb! *two thumbs up* it’s what people usually call a chocolate lava cake; but it’s SUPER SUPER addictive. much more than the raspberry creme bulee. haha! and the chocolate cake was half-priced because it’s my birthday today! haha! and it came with a candle (: super sweet aint they? after our 3 course meal, we were served a glass of house pour red wine each. :D super happy! haha
oh, i love the service there. we were served by this really friendly lady with long hair and braces. =D haha super nice lady! she wished me happy birthday three times before we left the restaurant! :D how nice can a waitress be? really really made my day! <3
oh, and to add on, mingzhi was really sweet today. he reserved two seats for us, and asked for 3 round candles to be placed on our table! (their usual decoration doesnt have any candle on the table okay!) and three candles because we’re celebrating our third year anniversary together with my birthday! :D

ohohoh.i have been exercising for the past few days- gym-ed, jogged and skated. my muscles are aching terribly now! ): hopefully ill lose some MASS by next week! hahahaha! sometimes i really hate study breaks. i tend to eat double the usual amount during study breaks! T.T

oh ya. do u know that we cant use our JC weapon (the GC!) in uni? oh crap right. why did our teachers even lie to us abt that! haha so okay, i went to buy my scientific calculator today! :D :D :D

borrowed sai’s dad popular. calculator very expensive okay. HAHAHA now i think im gg to be a $.$ soon! HAHAHHAA okay. aiya, IM SURE U’LL BORROW THE CARD TOO! LOL! yah, so i went to buy my calculator la!

tampines mall was flooded with people today. i have no idea why too! haha probably cos it;s a SUNDAY <3 okay yes today is a sunday, hahaha!
OKAY SO BACK TO TOPIC! i went to buy my calculator! hahaha! i repeated this sentence for the dunno-how-many-times alrdy. haha! there were so many different models. many from casio and one pathetic one from sharp. after much thoughts and decision making process, i’ve decided to get the pathetic sharp calculator! for one pathetic reason- it looks nicer than the CASIOs.
SO! happy me went to queue at the cashier. NOTE: the queue was so damn long la. wonder if there was a sale or sth going on today. haha! and yay after some time i finally managed to walk to the counter! okay, and i paid for the calculator with capitaland card (thinking that ill be able to accumulate capitaland points! which obviously aint true.)
and you know what! I WAS ASKED TO SIGN 3 times okay. THREE.
my first signature was terrible. i’ve to admit it. haha imagine holding ur mp3, ur phone and ur wallet one one hand and using a 1.0ballpoint pen to sign with ur other hand. haha!

the cashier looked at my signature on the receipt, and then on my card. and asked me to sign again, saying the 2 signatures look different.
so i was like, oh. okay. and happily signed again.
THEN! i was asked to sign again, cos my 2nd signature still look different from the correct one!
which is like. OMG WHY SO JI JIAOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. the queue was super long behind me la! felt so guilty for taking so much time there. and you know how different was the signatures from the correct one? :D
FYI, in case u dint see my NICE signature before, my signature is my name- huijuan, signed with a cursive handwriting. and me, being a lazy bum, shortened my signature by writing huij~ instead. and i’ve been doing that since 3 mths ago and this kind of situation dint happen before la! plus this purchase was only $20+, why so ji jiao! T.T

okay. im not complaining la. haha im just ranting.  :D but okay, i absolutely uds why they wanted me to re-sign! :D
